About Jac.
Jac Clark, born 1982, is an Australian artist and graphic designer living in Parkes, NSW.

So, how did she become an artist?
It wasn’t a single "Aha" moment—Jac’s passion grew naturally, blooming from childhood drawings into a lifelong journey. In 2001, she dove into Graphic Design at university, enrolling in every Fine Art class she could find. A chat with an artist sparked a big question: “Work for yourself or someone else?” After mulling it over, Jac thought, “Why not both?”—and that set the stage for everything to come.
After uni, Jac took on the print industry in Canberra, soaking up lessons in colour, materials, and techniques that would later fuel her art. Then, she returned to Parkes in 2005 and launched Morabon, her graphic design business that’s been thriving ever since. A few years down the line, she wove her artistry into the mix, turning her business into a creative space. The result? A perfect balance of business and pleasure... and a heap of commission sales—especially those adorable dog portraits.

What’s her style?
Jac’s all about experimenting, learning and creating. Her art’s bold, graphic, and big, with colours that pop and hint at the personalities of her subjects. She often works in series, producing 10-25 pieces tied to an idea or subject before moving on—you will probably see a few dog portraits produced in the 'timeouts', between the collections!
What keeps her going?
Art’s her happy place—therapeutic and full of surprises. She’s always chasing new ideas, experimenting with materials, sizes, and textures. Galleries are her inspiration hubs, often sending her home with a new book to dig into. From random moments to the faces of people and pets, inspiration’s everywhere for Jac.

Her standout pieces?
The Parkes huge public art projects—fun, challenging, and a total honour to create. Portraits of Rosie Batty, Dr. Karl, Lanye Beachley and Vera Blue are some of her favourites too, especially since they led to meeting such inspiring people.

However a piece that she will find very hard to let go of would be Sailor.
"The meaning, the colours, the shapes, all came together exactly how I wanted them to."

Her take on art and life?
It’s all about exploring, staying open, and letting creativity flow. Jac Clark’s story is one of passion and possibility—and it’s still unfolding!
